Soundtrack to my life

Not in any specific order, especially since I had a hard enough time coming up bands or artists that I felt really had a profound impact on me in some way. My musical AD/HD has made for some interesting listening choices, and I consider this the highlight reel.

Pavement  -  The Chaos that was  my life at the time I  stumbled across this record, made perfect sense  while I listened.

Nirvana, -  How about turning everything you know about music up side down, and  just staring defiantly  at yourself in the mirror.

Eric B and Rakim, -  As an 11 year old listening to this,  I was struggling to keep up with the rhymes and imagery they conjured up.

Counting Crows, -  This is the epitome of an EP. Its hard for me to hear one song from this, and not wait expectantly for the  first few notes of the next song to weave its away  into view.

Ben Harper,  -  I was  a late comer to Ben, and literally bought  his box set first, and  spent the next 6 months digesting every  little nuance I could.

Ryan Adams, -  When someone changes your opinion about an entire genre of music,  its hard to forget them.

Pedro the Lion, -  I often find lonliness makes me happy.

Aphex Twin, -  With every bleep and blip, twist and turn, and dizzying snare rush, I fell in love over and over.

The Decemberists, -  I  thought someone had taken a play, and  read it  aloud over  a music bed. I was wrong.

Mu-ziq - I drowned in wave after wave of  aural sex.
